Dalgona Coffee is the new coffee craze and is meant to be made at home. It's like a reversed latte, whipped coffee on top instead of foamed milk and milk for the base. It's usually served cold. It's sweet, thick and velvety.
2 T. instant coffee (could also be made with hot chocolate mix)
2 T. granulated sugar (or brown sugar)
1 c. whole milk or milk of choice
2 T. HOT water
ice, optional
Combine instant coffee, sugar and 2 tablespoons hot water in a small mixing bowl.
Using a hand mixer, beat mixture for 3-5 minutes, or until color changes to golden brown and mixture takes on a thick consistency.
Pour milk into a tall glass with a few ice cubes; top with the mixture, using a spatula to coax it out of the bowl. Stir.
Makes 1 drink.
