Dress up those plain green beans with just a few ingredients. They're yummy, quick and easy to make and are great to accompany any main dinner dish.
3–4 c. fresh or frozen long green beans, like Trader Joe’s frozen green beans
1/2 T. butter
1 T. olive oil
1 t. minced garlic
Kosher salt
freshly ground black pepper
Place green beans in a large glass dish; cover halfway with water. Microwave for about 6 minutes, or until green beans are soft.
Melt butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat; add beans and garlic.
Sautee for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the green beans to turn brownish and caramelize.
Serve, seasoned to taste with salt and pepper.
