This cake is full of flavor, moist and just about the best cake ever. The frosting is super delicious and makes the cake even better.
Ingredients
- Banana Cake:
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 4 medium bananas, mashed (about 2 c.)
- Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1/2 c. butter, at room temperature
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 3 c. powdered sugar
Steps
- Banana Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Right before filling, spray 2- 8 inch cake pans with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs; beat until combined; beat in sour cream and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and salt; beat just until combined. Stir in mashed bananas; mix until combined.
