Description

If you think that you just unable to make bread, think again. This delicious bread requires no kneading, five minutes of preparation and just four ingredients. This most difficult part is the time it takes for the bread to rest.

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 t. salt
1/2 t. yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water

In a bowl, stir together flour, salt, yeast and water until combined; cover with plastic wrap. Let rest at room temperature for 8-24 hours.

Turn dough out onto a well floured surface; form a ball, placing on parchment paper, if desired. Let rest for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, place an oven-safe baking dish with high sides in the oven; preheat oven and dish to 450 degrees.

Slash an "X" on top of the bread. Carefully transfer bread to the baking dish; cover. If using parchment paper, it's easy to pick up the edges of the paper and transfer the dough and the paper together into the baking dish.

Bake covered 30 minutes; uncover; bake about 15 more minutes until quite golden brown.

Cool before slicing and serving.
