Homemade Slushie Floats

Description

Do you need a delicious, refreshing way to cool off? Try one of these three ways to make beverages which are economical and don't include a trip to Dairy Queen or 7-11.

Ingredients

0.13 oz. package unsweetened powdered drink mix, any flavor (Kool-Aid or similar)
2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar (can add up to an additional 1/4 c., or to taste)
4 c. ice
1-2 scoops vanilla ice cream

In a blender, combine powdered drink mix, water, sugar and ice; blend.

Pour into 2 large glasses or 4 small glasses; add 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Add straws. Enjoy.

2-4 servings.

3 Ways to enjoy:
For a Slush, follow instructions above but leave out the ice cream. This is similar to a Slurpee.

Slushie Float-follow the instructions, adding the ice cream makes it a float.

Blended Slushie Float-after adding the ice cream, blend the slushie again to give the slushie a creamier texture.
