The weather is getting colder, so bring out the slow cooker and make comfort food the is delicious and satisfying. The chicken will be tender and the gravy is just super yummy.
3 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 - 10.5 oz. cans cream of chicken soup
1 packet chicken gravy mix
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ c. parsley, chopped
2 t. freshly ground black pepper
mashed potatoes, rice or egg noodles, for serving
Add chicken to a 5 quart or larger slow cooker.
In a bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, gravy mix and garlic. Spread the soup mixture over the chicken. Cover; cook on High for 4 hours or on Low for 8 hours.
When chicken is cooked through, shred the meat with 2 forks. Stir the shredded meat into the gravy mixture. Add parsley and black pepper to the slow cooker; stir.
Serve chicken over mashed potatoes, rice, stuffing or egg noodles, if desired.
