Candy Cane Jello Shots

Description

These adult jello shots are a festive and creative way to celebrate the holiday season. Not only are they beautiful, they taste great too.

Ingredients

Cherry Jello:
1 cherry jello packet
1 c. boiling water
1 c. vanilla vodka, cold

White Layer:
3 T. sweetened condensed milk
1 c. water
2 packets Knox gelatin
3 T. sugar
1 c. peppermint Schnapps, cold

Garnish:
whipped cream
crushed and whole small candy canes

Cherry Jello:
Boil the cherry Jello with 1 c. water; stir to combine. When the Jello is dissolved, pour in 1 c. "cold" vanilla vodka; stir to combine. Set aside at room temperature.

White Layer:
Pour 1 c. water and 3 T. sweetened condensed milk into a saucepan; add 2 packets Knox gelatin on top; let sit for several minutes. Place on stovetop; heat on medium to high heat; stir to combine. Add about 3 T. sugar to the mixture; stir to combine. Add 1 c. cold peppermint Schnapps; stir to combine. Set aside at room temperature.

Add 1 T. red jello to large shot glasses; place glasses in a muffin pan at a titled angle. Allow jello to harden, about 30-45 minutes. Add 1 t. white jello on top of the red jello. Allow the this jello to harden, about 20-35 minutes.

Repeat two times.

Fill glasses with the remaining red jello; let it harden.

Garnish shots with whipped cream and crushed candy canes. Add a candy cane, if desired.
