This is the perfect party food for your next get together. Serve them on sliders or mini buns.
2 lb. ground beef, 80% lean
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 celery stalk with leaves, finely chopped
1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
1/2 onion, finely chopped
14.5 oz. can tomato sauce
6 oz. tomato paste
1/2 c. ketchup (or BBQ sauce)
1 T. chili powder
1 T. dry mustard
1 T. onion powder
1 T. sugar
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 t. salt
1/4 t. freshly ground black pepper
16 slider buns, split
In a 4-6-quart slow cooker, combine ground beef, garlic, celery, bell pepper, onion, tomato sauce, ketchup, tomato paste, chili and onion powders, dry mustard, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix together, breaking up the ground beef.
Cook on High for 4 hours or on Low for 8 hours.
Makes 4-6 servings on 16 sliders.
