Celebrate the fun and festive day with these simple to make cookies. They are great fun for Halloween parties, get togethers at at home fun treats.

Ingredients

• Cookies:
• 2 c. flour
• 2 T. corn starch
• ½ t. salt
• ¾ c. cocoa powder
• 1 c. sugar
• 1 c. butter, softened
• 1 egg
• 2 t. vanilla
• Frosting:
• 8 T. butter, softened
• 2 c. powdered sugar
• 1 ½ T. heavy cream
• ½ t. vanilla
• orange gel food coloring
• 60 Hershey’s Kisses
• Halloween colored sprinkles

Steps

1. Stir together flour, corn starch, cocoa powder and salt.
2. With an electric mixer, combine butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add egg and vanilla; mix until well blended. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
3. Roll dough into a log with a diameter of about 1 1/2 inches. Wrap with parchment or wax paper. Place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
