Description
Fried potatoes are a great side dish that go with just about any main meat dish. They are easy to make with just a few ingredients and a little bit of time.
Ingredients
- 4 large Yukon Gold potatoes, sliced (about 2 lb.)
- 1 large yellow or Vidalia onion
- 3 T. butter
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- ½ t. garlic powder, optional
- salt and pepper, to taste
Steps
- Scrub potatoes. Potatoes can be left with the peeling on or removed, if desired.
- Slice potatoes into thin rings. Cut onion into slices.
- In a large skillet and over medium heat, melt butter; add olive oil.
