Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Roll out pie crust; fit crust into a standard 9 inch pie dish; crimp edges. Place in the refrigerator.

Place cream cheese and brown sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer; beat on high until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes. Scrape bowl with a spatula; beat in eggs. Scrape the bowl again; place mixer on low; mix in cream, flour, cinnamon, vanilla, salt and nutmeg until very smooth. Pour cinnamon filling into pie pan.

Bake on the lowest oven rack for 35 minutes until center is set when jiggled, but not totally firm. Bake another 5 minutes, if needed.

Cool completely. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate.

Remove from the refrigerator 1 hour before serving.

Dust the top of the pie with powdered sugar. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.

8 servings.
