Everyone will think that you slaved away in the kitchen making these quick, easy delicious Danish. They're made with canned biscuits, fruit pie filling, cream cheese and sugar.
Danish:
8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 t. real vanilla extract
10.2 oz. package Pillsbury Grands Flaky Biscuits (5 biscuits)
2 T. powdered sugar (for coating bottom of glass)
21 oz. can blueberry, cherry or any fruit pie filling
Glaze:
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 T. water or milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a mixer, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar and vanilla together until smooth; set aside.
Using a serrated knife, carefully slice biscuits in half horizontally to make 10 rounds; place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Dip bottom of a drinking glass that's smaller than the biscuit into powdered sugar so the dough will not stick to the glass; place glass on top of each biscuit, forming an indention or a small well.
Spread cream cheese mixture on the centers of the dough; top with pie filling. About half of the can of pie filling will be used.
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
While danish are baking, prepare the glaze. Stir powdered sugar and water or milk until smooth.
When danish are done, cool them on a wire rack. Drizzle with the glaze.
Serve immediately.
Cover and refrigerate leftovers.
