Description
Feed the family on busy nights or serve a crowd with easy to make sliders. They're made with gooey cheese, roast beef, thinly sliced onion and sweet buttered rolls.
Ingredients
- 3 t. unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 t. fresh thyme, minced
- 1/4 t. kosher salt
- 1/4 t. black pepper
- 12 sweet rolls
- 10 slices Provolone cheese
- 14 oz. sliced deli roast beef (or leftover roast beef)
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 T. dried onion soup mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 3 c. water
- freshly chopped parsley, for garnish, if desired
Steps
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions; coat in the butter. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 12-15 minutes until onions are soft and browned but not burned.
- Add thyme, salt and pepper; stir to combine; remove from heat; set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
