Description
This chicken salad makes wonderful sandwiches for guests on special occasions or for family at home. Serve on croissants, dollar rolls, your favorite bread or on large lettuce leaves.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. cooked, shredded chicken*
- 1 c. celery, finely chopped
- 1 c. white grapes, sliced in halves
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted
- 1-2 T. fresh parsley
- 3/4 t. salt
- 1 c. mayonnaise
- 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- 1/4 t. saffron or curry
- 1 1/2 t. soy sauce
Steps
- Stir together all ingredients.
- Serve on croissants, dollar rolls, bread or on large lettuce leaves.
- *20 oz. canned chicken, left-over chicken or rotisserie chicken.
