Use your leftover ham to make this delish ham salad. Don't have any leftover ham? No problem. Use a ham steak or thickly sliced ham from the deli.
1 lb. leftover ham (or ham steak or thickly sliced deli ham)
1/2 c. finely diced celery
1/2 c. finely diced dill pickles
2 T. pickle brine
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 T. Dijon mustard
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1/4 t. cayenne pepper
1/2 t. garlic powder
2 t. Worcestershire sauce
Chop ham into a small dice using a knife or use a food processor; transfer to a medium bowl.
Add remaining ingredients to the bowl; stir to combine. Taste and adjust the seasonings.
Wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Stir before serving.
Serve as a sandwich on your favorite bread or croissants, on crackers, pita chips, or celery sticks.
