Let the sunshine brew your tea instead of your stovetop. It's a smoother and tastier way of making it.
8 black tea bags
1 gallon water
1 c. sugar or preferred sweetener, optional
lemon slices and strawberries, for optional garnish
Pour water into a 1 gallon glass container with a lid. Place tea bags around the rim so tea bags are floating in the water and the strings are on the outside. Cover with lid, using lid to secure tea bags at the top. The lid keeps out critters like ants.
Place the container outside in the direct sun for about 3-4 hours, until tea has brewed to your taste. Don't leave it in the sun any longer.
Bring container inside. If desiring sweet tea, add sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Serve over ice.
Store in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
16 servings.
