A wine slushie mix is fun, but expensive to buy. Why buy it when it's affordable and easy to make at home?

Ingredients

• Mix:
• 1 2/3 - 1 3/4 c. granulated sugar (less for a sweeter wine, more for a dry wine)
• 1 1/2 t. citric acid
• 1/4 t. Matcha (Green Tea) Powder, optional
• Wine Slushie:
• 750 ml bottle of wine
• 3 c. water
• 1 batch mix

Steps

1. Measure all mix ingredients into a food processor; run processor for 1-2 minutes to finely process the sugar and evenly distribute ingredients. Pour powdered mix into a baggie or airtight container until ready to use.
2. Wine Slushie:
3. Pour 1 batch of mix into a 1 gallon freezer bag or a large bowl. Add a 750 ml bottle of your favorite wine and 3 c. water; stir/shake well. Freeze for about 3 hours or longer before serving with straws in glasses . Garnish with fruit, if desired.
