Get all of the yumminess of a banana split at home without worrying about the ice cream melting. It's the perfect summertime dessert for pool parties or fun get togethers.
Crust:
2 c. crushed graham crackers
1/2 c. melted butter
2 T. sugar
pinch of salt
Lasagna:
12 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
16 oz. Cool Whip
3 ripe bananas, thinly sliced
20 oz. crushed pineapple, drained
1 lb. strawberries, finely chopped
1/2 c. pecans, chopped (or walnuts)
chocolate syrup or fudge sauce
10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, drained
Crust:
Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
In a bowl, stir together crushed graham crackers, melted butter, sugar and salt. Press into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Chill until set, about 10 minutes.
Lasagna:
Use a mixer to beat softened cream cheese and sugar together until fluffy, about 5 minutes. Slowly fold in 1 tub of Cool Whip. Spread mixture on to crust.
Top with strawberries, bananas and pineapple. Top with remaining Cool Whip; sprinkle on pecans.
Refrigerate until set, about 4 hours up to overnight.
Drizzle with chocolate syrup and top with more nuts and drained maraschino cherries before serving.
