No-Bake Red, White, and Blue Trifle

Don't know what to serve or bring for a patriotic get together? How about a red, white and blue trifle dessert? It's easy, delicious and great for a dessert anytime.

Ingredients

Pudding Layer:
4 oz. white chocolate instant pudding mix, dry
2 c. cold milk

Whipped Cream:
1 1/2 c. heavy cream
6 T. sugar
1 t. vanilla extract

Trifle:
8 oz. angel food cake, 4 c. chopped (store bought is fine)
1 lb. strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 lb. blueberries

Pudding Layer:
Combine dry pudding mix and milk; whisk for 2 minutes; set aside.

Whipped Cream:
Add cream, sugar and vanilla to a large bowl; whip together on
high speed until stiff peaks form; set aside.

Trifle Assembly:
Cut angel food cake into slices; cut slices into small pieces about 1/2-1 inch in size.

Spread half of the cake over the bottom of a trifle dish.
Add a layer of strawberries on the top. Spread half of the pudding on the top of the strawberries. Add a layer of blueberries. Spread a layer of whipped cream over the berries.

Repeat with another layer of cake, strawberries, pudding, blueberries, and whipped cream.

Decorate the top in a pretty star pattern with more berries surrounding it.

Refrigerate for 2 - 3 hours until ready to serve. It's best served the same day it is made.
