Grilled Wisconsin Beer Brats

It's that time of year to grill your favorites. These brats will definitely hit the spot.

Ingredients

10 beer brats
1 large onion, thinly sliced
4 (12 oz.) cans beer, your favorite
10 brat buns, split, for serving (grilled, if desired)
ketchup and mustard, for serving
sauerkraut, optional, for serving

Preheat grill over medium-high heat. Clean and oil grates.

In a large pot over medium-high heat, add brats, onion, and beer. Bring to a boil; reduce heat; simmer until brats are cooked through, about 10 - 12 minutes. Transfer brats to a platter.

Continue cooking onions in the beer while grilling the brats.

Cook brats on the preheated grill, turning frequently, until browned, about 5 minutes.

Serve in brat buns with caramelized onions, your favorite condiments and toppings.
