2 (8 oz.) cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
2 ( 8oz.) packages cream cheese, at room temperature
1 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 T. cinnamon
4 T. sugar
honey, for servings, if desired
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Press 1 can of the crescent rolls in the bottom of the dish, making sure to reach edges and keep together. Bake this first layer of crescent roll dough until just done, about 5-8 minutes.
Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Spread mixture over crescent rolls.
Roll the remaining crescent rolls over the top, stretching to the edges; seal.
Brush the melted butter across the entire top of the crescent rolls. Sprinkle the top with the cinnamon and the sugar.
Bake for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Slice into triangles or squares. Serve warm or let cool and chill for several hours, drizzled with a little honey if desired.
