Description
These scones are light, airy and moist on the inside and full of yummy dates. The preparation couldn't be any simpler.
Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. baking powder
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 lb. pats/cubes cold butter
- 1/2 - 1 c. chopped dates
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix all dry ingredients together; rub the butter in with your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs; add and mix in 1/2 c. milk; add dates; mix in until just combined. They will be wet and sticky.
- Spoon mixture onto a baking tray.
