Description
Making pulled pork in the slow cooker is the way to go. Cook it in Dr. Pepper and BBQ sauce for a hint of sweetness. It's moist, tender and delicious.
Ingredients
- 3-4 lb. pork roast
- 1 T. paprika
- 1/2 t. black pepper
- 1/4 t. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
- 1/2 t. onion powder
- 1 t. salt
- 12 oz. can Dr. Pepper
- 1 c. BBQ sauce
- rolls or sandwich buns, for serving
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder and salt; rub over pork roast.
- In a lightly greased slow cooker, whisk together Dr. Pepper and BBQ sauce. Place the roast in the slow cooker. Cover; cook on Low for 8-10 hours.
- Remove roast from slow cooker to a platter or cutting board. Shred with 2 forks. Return meat to the slow cooker; toss with cooking liquid. If there is too much liquid, remove some before returning the meat to the slow cooker.
