These easy to make candy balls are perfect for the holidays or anytime of the year. They are made with everyone's favorites semi-sweet chocolate peanut butter.
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
3 T. salted butter, softened
1 c. powdered sugar, plus more as needed
8 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped (or chocolate chips)
Mix peanut butter and salted butter together in a bowl. Gradually stir in powdered sugar until well combined and formed into a dough ball. If needed, add more powdered sugar a little at a time, until mixture holds together in a large ball.
Cover bowl; let peanut butter dough sit for about 15 minutes to firm up, or cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to form balls.
Shape into 1" balls; place on a baking sheet; cover; refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to firm up. Dough balls should hold their shape before dipping into chocolate. Add more refrigeration time, if necessary.
Melt chocolate according to package instructions.
Dip peanut butter balls into melted chocolate one at a time, allowing excess to drip off.
Place on waxed paper lined baking sheet; cover; refrigerate until ready to serve.
