Make everyone smile with these cute little chocolate mice. They are great to make your holiday table festive but are delicious to eat as well.
15 Hershey chocolate kisses
15 red hots candies
15 Maraschino cherries, with their stems
1/2 c. chocolate chips
30 peanut halves
small tube of black icing
Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper; set aside.
Place the cherries on a paper towel-lined plate; pat cherries dry with paper towels, getting as much moisture off as possible.
Melt the chocolate chips according to package directions.
Holding the stem of a cherry, dip it into the melted chocolate.
Place the chocolate coated cherry on its side on the prepared baking sheet.
Press a Hershey kiss on the opposite side of the cherry from the stem. Add 2 peanut halves on the top between the cherry and Hershey kiss for the ears.
Add a dab of melted chocolate on the back of a red hot; place it on the end of the Hershey kiss for the nose.
Use the black icing to dot 2 eyes on the Hershey kiss.
Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
