These easy to make truffles are special little gems. They are delicious chocolate treats with a sprinkling of sea salt on top.
8 - 9 oz. good quality semi-sweet chocolate
8 - 9 oz. good quality bittersweet chocolate
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 T. vanilla extract
8 oz. meltable milk chocolate like Ghiardelli's dipping chocolate
flaky sea salt or fine, coarse sprinkles
Heat both dark chocolates and the condensed milk together on the stovetop in a double boiler over medium-low heat until chocolate is melted; stir. Mixture will have a slight marshmallow texture. Stir in vanilla.
Remove from heat; cover. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
Once chilled, roll into balls; roll in melted milk chocolate to coat. Sprinkle with sea salt or other fine, coarse sprinkles.
