These mushrooms are the perfect appetizer or side dish. They are deliciously coated in seasonings and grated Parmesan cheese, then air fried until golden brown. They are quick and easy to make and are keto and gluten free.
1 lb. whole baby bella or white mushrooms
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
3 T. oil
1 T. fresh chopped thyme
1 t. garlic powder
1/4 t. salt
1/8 - 1/4 t. black pepper
Clean the mushrooms with damp paper towels. Use a sharp knife to cut off a bit of the stem; slice large mushrooms into quarters and small mushrooms into halves.
Place the mushrooms in a large bowl with the remaining ingredients; toss to coat.
Add the mushrooms to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook the mushrooms in batches if using a small air fryer.
Air fry the mushrooms for 10 minutes at 350 degrees F, or until golden brown. Cooking time will vary for different air fryers or for larger mushrooms.
Serve immediately, sprinkled with a little more grated cheese, if desired.
