The air fryer makes fresh asparagus tender on the inside and crispy on the outside without a lot of oil. A bit of garlic, lemon juice and seasonings make it absolutely delicious.
1 lb. asparagus
1 t. minced garlic, or to taste
1/2 t. garlic powder
1 T. lemon juice
1 T. olive oil
1/2-1 t. salt
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, shredded or grated
Cut or break off the woody ends of the asparagus. Rinse in cold water; pat dry with paper towels.
Place asparagus in a large ziploc bag with the minced garlic, garlic powder, lemon juice, olive oil, Parmesan cheese and salt; shake well.
Line them up in one layer in the air fryer. Sprinkle with oil, garlic parsley salt and parmesan.
Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes. Air fry the asparagus at 400 F for 5-6 minutes for thin or 7-8 for thick asparagus or until they are golden brown.
Serve, sprinkled with a bit of Parmesan cheese.
