These copycat Texas Roadhouse green beans are just as good as the restaurant's. They couldn't be easier to make and start with canned green beans, bacon, and onion and a few other simple ingredients.
6 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 onion, diced
2 - 16 oz. cans green beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 c. low-sodium chicken broth
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 T. butter
1 T. red wine vinegar
1 t. sugar
1/2 t. salt, or to taste
1/4 t. freshly ground black pepper
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat; add bacon; cook until bacon is just crisp, 5 - 6 minutes, stirring often.
When bacon is crispy, add onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes.
When onion has softened, add green beans, chicken broth, garlic, butter, red wine vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper to the skillet; stir.
Reduce heat to low. Cover skillet; simmer until green beans are tender, about 10 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper, if needed.
Serve warm.
