You can serve your family President Reagan's favorite mac ' n cheese dish. It's so cheesy and good, his wife Nancy made sure that he was served it regularly in the White House.

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 lb. macaroni pasta
• 1 t. butter
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 t. salt
• 1 t. dry mustard
• 1 T. hot water
• 3 c. sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
• 1 c. milk

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a casserole dish with butter.
2. Cook macaroni in well salted boiling water until tender; drain thoroughly. Pour macaroni into a large bowl; stir in the butter and beaten egg.
3. In a bowl, mix dry mustard and salt with 1 T. hot water; add to milk; stir. Add the cheddar cheese, reserving some to sprinkle on top.
