Choose your method of making this delicious chili cheese dip, either on the stovetop or in a slow cooker. Then add the 4 ingredients to warm the easy to make dip.
2 1/2 c. favorite chili, from 2 - 14 oz. cans or homemade
4 oz. cream cheese, cut into cubes
2 c. shredded cheese, like Pepperjack or sharp Cheddar
1/4 c. salsa
cayenne pepper, for heat, if desired
Stovetop Preparation:
Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the cheese is bubbly, about 5 minutes.
OR
Slow Cooker Preparation:
Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray or use a liner.
Place cubed cream cheese in the slow cooker. Add the chili, salsa, and the shredded cheese.
Cook on Low for 1-3 hours. Stir.
Serve with tortilla chips, Fritos, bread cubes or vegetables.
