If you think that you don't like broccoli, try this delicious recipe. All you need are a few ingredients, a steamer basket, a large cooking pot and about 11 minutes.
1 lb. fresh broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
2 T. butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 T. fresh Italian parsley, chopped small
1/2 t. Kosher salt, or to taste
1/4 t. freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
1 T. fresh lemon juice, optional
Bring 2 inches of water to boil in a large pot. Place the broccoli in a steamer basket; place the basket in the boiling water. Cover; lower the heat to medium; steam for 5-6 minutes.
While the broccoli is steaming, combine the butter and the garlic in a small bowl. Microwave for about 30 seconds until the butter has melted; stir to combine; stir in the parsley.
Remove the broccoli from the heat when the broccoli is bright green and still slightly firm. Drain well; transfer the broccoli to a large serving bowl.
Drizzle the broccoli with the butter mixture; toss to coat.
Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with lemon juice, if desired.
Serve immediately.
