This crowd pleasing recipe is simple to make. It's delicious and quick and makes a great holiday treat to serve at get togethers or as a hostess gift or party favor.
2 c. mini pretzels
1/2 c. unsalted butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
sea salt, for sprinkling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture begins to bubble. Let it boil for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.
Pour the caramel mixture evenly over the pretzels, spreading it out with a spatula to cover all the pretzels.
Bake the pretzels for 5 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Remove from the oven. Immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot caramel, letting the chocolate sit for a minute to soften; spread it evenly with a spatula.
Immediately sprinkle sea salt generously over the melted chocolate.
Let cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate for faster setting. Once set, break the bark into pieces.
