Air Fryer Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

Description

Don't waste those pumpkin seeds when carving your Jack-o-Lantern. You can make a quick and delicious snack with them, some seasonings and a bit of butter or oil in your air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. pumpkin seeds
  • 1 1/2 t. butter or olive oil
  • 1/4 t. garlic powder
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/8 t. black pepper, optional

Steps

  1. Use a sharp knife to cut a circle around the stem; remove the top. Use a spoon to scrape and remove the pulp and seeds from the inside of the pumpkin. Transfer the pulp and seeds to a big bowl of water. If preferred, you could also cut a circle in the bottom of the pumpkin instead of the top.
  2. Separate the pulp from the seeds; transfer the seeds to a colander to rinse them with cold water.
  3. Lay the clean seeds out on towels and make sure that they are completely dry.
