Scarecrow Popcorn Balls
Description
The whole family can celebrate the season by making these fun scarecrow popcorn balls. They are cute and delicious and add a festive touch to any gathering.
Ingredients
Popcorn Balls:
1/4 c. butter
40 Jet-Puffed Marshmallows
1/2 t. vanilla extract
3 qt. (12 c.) popped popcorn
Scarecrows:
ice cream cones for hats
black frosting for mouths and patches
candy corn for noses
chocolate chips for eyes
pretzel sticks for straw hair

Popcorn Balls:
Melt the butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and vanilla; cook until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly.
Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl; add the marshmallow mixture; toss until popcorn is evenly coated with marshmallow mixture. Shape into balls with lightly greased hands. Place balls on waxed paper; let popcorn balls cool and firm up.
To Assemble the Scarecrows:
Place the popcorn balls in the ice cream cones.
Add candy corn for the noses, chocolate chips for the eyes and pretzels for the straw hair. Add black frosting for the mouths and patches on the cone hats.
Place on a platter for displaying and serving.
