Cold weather is on its way and so is the need for easy to make, hot beverages. This hot chocolate is not your typical hot chocolate. It's made with white choclate, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Yum!
4 c. whole milk, half and half or heavy cream or combination
1 t. vanilla extract
¼ t. ground cinnamon
8 oz. white chocolate, chopped into small pieces
whipped cream, and/or marshmallows, for optional topping
Stovetop Method:
Stir together the milk, white chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until it comes to a simmer. DO NOT let it come to a boil. Remove from heat.
Serve, topped with whipped cream and/or marshmallows, if desired.
4 servings.
Crockpot Method:
Stir together milk, chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla in a crockpot. Cook on Low for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
