Why change a recipe when the original is delicious? This original fudge recipe will become your new favorite if you haven't had the pleasure to make it in the past. It's easy and delicious!
3 c. granulated white sugar
3/4 c. real butter
2/3 c. evaporated milk
2 c. semi-sweet morsels
7 oz. jar Kraft marshmallow jet puffed creme/fluff
1 t. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts, optional
Grease a 9 X 13 inch pan or line the pan with parchment paper to allow a much quicker release and clean up.
In a medium pot, mix together the sugar, butter and milk. Bring the mixture to a full boil over medium heat, stirring constantly so the sugar dissolves and the mixture doesn't burn on the bottom of the pot.
Boil for 5 minutes, EXACTLY. This is important!
Remove the mixture from the heat; add the chocolate chips; stir; add the marshmallow crème and vanilla; stir. Stir in the nuts, if using.
Pour into the prepared pan. Cool.
