If you need a something sweet that's yummy for over the holidays, this one is the ticket. It's a no bake dessert that's made with Chex cereal, and a few other ingredients that everyone will love.
6 c. rice chex or corn chex
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. peanut butter
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 c. butterscotch chips
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 t. vanilla
Pour the cereal in a greased, large round bowl; set aside.
Grease a 9x13 inch pan; set aside.
In a pan on the stovetop, combine the corn syrup and sugar; cook and stir over medium-high heat until it comes to a boil.
Immediately remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the 1 1/2 c. peanut butter. Immediately pour the mixture over the cereal; fold in, pour into the 9x13 pan.
In a microwaveable 4 cup measuring cup, combine the butterscotch chips, chocolate chips, 1/2 c. peanut butter and vanilla; microwave for 30 seconds at a time.
Stir well after each interval until it's completely melted and smooth. It should take about 1 minute and 30 seconds total.
Pour over the bars. Allow to cool completely at room temperature before cutting.
Serve.
