Use your slow cooker to easily make these candied nuts. They are great to serve at parties, take as hostess gifts or give as holiday gifts.
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
1/4 t. ground ginger
1/4 t. ground allspice
1 1/2 c. pecan halves
1 1/2 c. walnut halves
1 c. unblanched almonds
In a greased 3 qt. slow cooker, mix together the melted butter, powdered sugar and spices. Add the nuts; toss to coat.
Cook on Low, covered, 2-3 hours or until nuts are crisp, stirring once.
Transfer nuts to parchment paper to cool completely.
Store in an airtight container.
Makes 4 cups.
