In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, mustard, and cloves.

Discard the wrapping from the ham; pat off excess juice with paper towels.

Place the ham in the slow cooker pre-cut side down.

Rub the brown sugar mixture all over the ham, making sure to get in between the crevasses and slices, for maximum flavor.

Place pineapple slices on top of the ham, resting on the side of the crock, if necessary. You can secure them with wooden toothpicks, if desired. Add 1-2 cherries to the center of each pineapple slice.

Cover. Cook on High for 3-4 hours or on Low 4-6 hours. Time varies depending on the size of the ham.

Set aside the pineapple slices and cherries for serving.

Carefully remove the ham from the slow cooker using sturdy large tongs and a spatula. Place on a platter.

Glaze:
Transfer the liquid from the slow cooker to a small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat, bringing to a boil, reducing down until ready to serve.**

To carve, place pre-cut side down; carve down along the bone to remove the boneless section of meat. The sprial cut should now be perfect serving slices. Cotinue to cut the meat from the bone in sections.

Transfer slices to a platter for serving. Serve with the pineapple slices, cherries and glaze.

10 servings.

* This recipe only works for a spiral cut ham.
The size of the ham matters. A ham larger than 8 pounds might not fit in a slow cooker, so one larger than 8 pounds is probably best made in the oven.

** For a thicker glaze, add a corn starch slurry made from 1 T. corn starch and 1 T. water.
