Ingredients
- Batter:
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 t. ground nutmeg (freshly ground is best)
- 1/4 t. ground cloves
- pinch of salt
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- For Each Cocktail:
- 2/3 c. hot water
- 2 T. (1 oz.) batter, plus more to taste
- 2 oz. dark rum
- sweetened whipped cream, ground nutmeg and cinnamon sticks, for garnish
Steps
- Batter:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Heat, stirring frequently, until the butter is completely melted and the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in the vanilla.
