Celebrate the holidays with this creamy chocolate fudge with peppermint and marshmallows. It's the perfect dessert for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 2 T. butter
- 1/4 t. salt
- 3 1/2 c. mini marshmallows, divided
- 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 to 1/2 t. peppermint extract
- 3 T. crushed candy canes or peppermint candies (or green spearmint candy or combo of both)
Steps
- Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil; spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly; boil for 4-5 minutes, stiring continually.
- Remove from the heat; stir in 2 c. marshmallows, chocolate chips, and peppermint extract; stir vigorously until marshmallows and chocolate chips are melted. Quickly pour this into the prepared pan, working quickly or the fudge will start to firm up.
