French Onion Butter Rice

Description

This delicious and flavorful dish is simple to make for weeknight dinners and just fancy enough to serve for special occasions as well. It takes only a few ingredients and less than an hour to prepare.

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. long grain rice, uncooked
14.5 oz. can beef broth
10.5 oz. can French Onion soup
8 T. (1 stick) cold butter
fresh parsley, for optional garnish

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

In an 8X8 inch pan, evenly spread out the uncooked rice. Pour beef broth over the rice. Pour in the French Onion soup.

Slice the cold butter into pats; place evenly over the rice and soup mixture. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.

Bake 25 minutes; after 25 minutes, remove aluminum foil; bake for another 25 minutes.

Sprinkle with fresh parsley, if desired.

Serve warm.
