1 box yellow cake mix
21 oz. cans strawberry pie filling
8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted
1/2 t. vanilla extract
whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for optional serving

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13" baking dish.

Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared dish.

In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy. Spoon dollops of this mixture over the pie filling.

Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix layer, ensuring it's mostly covered.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.

Let the cake cool slightly before serving.
