Revolt TV

Move over, MTV and VH1. There’s a new kid in town and his name is Revolt TV. After finalizing a deal with Time Warner Cable, cultural pop icon, Sean “Diddy” Combs (formerly P. Diddy; formerly Puff Daddy) is ready to launch his new music network, Revolt TV. The new music channel will be available to all Time Warner Cable customers which is set to premiere this fall. When quipped about Revolt TV’s edge over the existing competition, Diddy asserts Revolt TV to be the “first channel of the social media age”. Diddy also professes that Revolt TV will focus solely on the musical aspect of the ironically multi-faceted music industry. He said that Revolt TV is designed to showcase more of the artistry and creativity that goes into the music industry through passionate and in-depth music journalism. Revolt TV will reportedly be streaming across multiple platforms such as broadcast television, as well as online desktop and mobile mediums.

Diddy is confident in his partnership with Time Warner in their efforts to fill the gaps that MTV has failed to occupy, given its direction in recent years. He felt that when MTV stopped playing music videos, artists and creative like himself were left without a platform to showcase their mastery and craftsmanship in music. Diddy depicts Revolt TV to be the go-to music channel, likening it to ESPN being the go-to sports channel and CNN being the go-to news channel.

“This goes out to all of the dreamers who have ever had the dream of being in the field of entertainment”, Diddy exclaims to open one of Revolt TV’s Youtube videos. “The Revolution will be televised”, he says in another video. It’s obvious the direction that Diddy wants to take with the establishment of this new network. As viewers, we can most definitely expect an elevated sense of cultural diversity in the field of music and entertainment. With the incorporation of social media as a platform for this new network, Diddy hopes to make Revolt TV a more accessible cultural platform for the public.

With celebrities like Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber, and Kanye West already on board, along with Diddy, and the rising popularity of social media, Revolt TV will probably have no difficulty stretching its reach and bounds to cover and entice numerous markets located all over the world. It’s already been causing a lot of buzz on the internet with its YouTube videos.

In any case, you can certainly expect a refreshing take on network television – music fusion. Catch it on Time Warner Cable this Fall and see for yourself… whether it really lives up to the hype.
