Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Sauce

✅ Ingredients:

For the Salisbury Steaks:

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Mushroom Sauce:

2 cups beef broth
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
✅ Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
Shape the mixture into 4 oval patties.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the mushrooms for 2 minutes.
Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms, stirring to coat evenly.
Gradually whisk in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
Return the Salisbury steaks to the skillet, spoon the mushroom sauce over them, and let them simmer for another 10 minutes.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes or rice.
