She’s gearing up for the release of her new album, and Selena Gomez took care of a media appearance in Toluca Lake, California this morning (4/5/2013).

The “Ramona & Beezus” actress showed off her stellar sense of style in an all-black ensemble punctuated by a pink printed scarf as she whisked past the paparazzi.

As for her new music, one of Selena’s producers told press that she didn’t let her breakup with Justin Bieber take up too much of the vibe.

“She didn't really want to talk about the Justin stuff too much in her music. She didn't want to bash him. She never wanted to write songs about him."

"And I think that's why it's funny 'cause even the song 'Rule the World,' it sounded like afterward, it sounded like it was written about that. And I think she was upset about it because she didn't want to write a song about 'You broke my heart.' She's empowering. She wants to be empowering for these girls not to dwell on guys when guys break your heart. She's super uplifting, positive, amazing person who's, spiritually, she's really strong. And she's a really cool girl. I think she's gonna have a great year for her."
