It’s been two seasons since Michael Scott graced the Dunder Mifflin Scranton Branch, and during last night’s series finale of “The Office,” he made a triumphant return.

Steve Carell surprised viewers by showing up at Dwight and Angela’s wedding to serve as the best man, as NBC was great at keeping the whole thing a secret.

During one scene, Carell (as Scott) told the documentary camera, "I feel like all my kids grew up and then they married each other. It's every parent's dream!"

And as the ninth and final season of “The Office” came to a close, Jenna Fischer’s character Pam spoke the words, "There's a lot of beauty in ordinary things. Isn't that the point?"
