With a little over two years until it hits theaters, “The Avengers 2” is slated to begin pre-production this December.

According to a report, Marvel Studios will begin building the set at Pinewood-Shepperton near the end of the year, and the cast will report for duty at the beginning of 2014.

“The Avengers 2” will be directed by Joss Whedon, working from a script he’s currently revising, and will release on May 1st, 2015.

And of course, the cast for the new project is fabulous, including Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jeremy Renner.
