Mt. Mayon Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines (situated in the Pacific Ring of Fire) erupted Tuesday morning, killing four foreign nationals and their local tour guide.

The volcano is world famous for its almost perfect cone shape but also for being a dangerous active volcano and as the hardest volcano to climb in the Philippines. Instead of serving as a warning, this fact even encourages local and foreign adventure seekers to conquer the challenge it poses even though it is illegal to climb it without proper certifications and training.

The recent killings only serves as a reminder that warnings are provided for a reason and that they could be the line that separates life and death.
